About Us
Cottage Farm Holidays is a family run business. Renovated in 2020 from an old working pig farm in to the 6 holiday homes that we see today.
All of the cottages have been meticulously renovated to ensure that traditional features have been maintained including feature beams, feeding troughs and even the worn down steps to the granary! But don’t panic all your modern amenities have been incorporated too, we have WIFI!
Cottage Farm Holidays is perfectly located in between the market towns of Pickering and Malton. The thriving town of Pickering has plenty of independent shops, cafes, restaurants, pubs and bars so you won’t tire of things to do. Explore Pickering Castle which is packed with a rich history dating back to the 12th century. Enjoy a walk on the iconic Cleveland Way, or head to Dalby Forest where you can explore the gentle woodland trails. Prefer to push yourself to the extreme? Go Ape Adventure Centre is for you!
From the beautiful North York Moors, to the expansive Great Yorkshire Forest and finally the delightful North Yorkshire coast, Pickering is ideally situated where you can experience everything the county has to offer.
Malton which is known as ‘Yorkshire’s food capital’. The bustling Market Place in the town centre is home to independent shops, cafes and restaurants as well as regular festivals and markets. For real food lovers, we’d recommend visiting Talbot Yard where you’ll find six artisan producers including a butcher, baker, distillery and a macaroon maker
Getting Around
Both Pickering & Malton have great bus routes with journeys to York, Thirsk, Helmsley, Whitby, Scarborough and Leeds.
The nearest mainline railway station to Yedingham can be found in Malton with routes to Scarborough, Manchester and Liverpool amongst others.
From Pickering rail station you can experience the famous North Yorkshire Moors Railway. The station is a must see with a 1930s theme, so you’ll be transported back in time to the steam era. From here, you can travel to popular destinations such as Whitby, Grosmont and Goathland.
